Today is the Iranian New Year called Nowruz (new day). Last year was a sad and proud year for us. Many protestors, including teens and young people, lost their lives. A lot of people from the protesters have lost their eyes. This is proud because the world has seen a significant sequence of Iranian women’s resistance against misogynist theocracy. We have seen the insurrection of indignant bodies against the humiliation imposed by the government on citizens, in particular women. Last year was the year of resistance in Iran. Next year and the years that follow, the fight goes on. I see girls in Iran singing revolutionary songs. This revolutionary feeling is shared by the various social classes of Iran. Resistance is now life and life is defined by resistance.

Woman, life, freedom.
